Because New York State has stricter laboratory regulations than most other states, some wellness-based lab tests have special collection requirements.

For Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA), the lab is required to confirm where the hair sample is collected (not where you live). At this time, samples cannot be collected within New York State due to state-specific rules.

What this means for you:

-If you live in New York, your HTMA sample simply needs to be collected while you are outside of New York State (for example, while traveling or visiting family).

-Once collected, you can mail the sample in normally, and it can be processed without issue.

This is a New York–specific regulatory detail and does not affect the quality, accuracy, or interpretation of your results.
